Doris Kearns Goodwin is one of our top historians. Whether she teaches us about her close relationship with Lyndon Johnson, or her stories of growing up as a Brooklyn Dodger fan, it is all very, very good. Her book on Abraham Lincoln was the basis for the recent Lincoln movie. You might recognize her from the baseball documentaries and interviews, or you might recognize her as a known “Presidential Historian.” She also sits near the dugout at many Boston Red Sox games.
As salespeople, even if you don’t read her books, there are many podcasts and interviews with her at iTunes. If you get a chance, check her out! Great way to fill some dashboard time.

StoryTellers. VH1. I have spent countless hours listening to this. I love the way these two legends converse in between songs. The way Willie makes us realize that he is actually an incredible jazz guitarist. His solos are amazing on these tracks. Here is a youtube link, but this is one where you have to listen to the recording. The stories, and Willie’s solos…. Wow.
Don’t tell me you can’t be cool at 70. How about the boots? Steve Mcqueen? These boots look like “Red Wing 1907” boots. Very cool indeed.
